Friday, March 27, 2009 Start hereIt's the end of the first week of term 2. The year has progressed past its opening stages and has well and truly begun. So what have I accomplished so far? Well, a good deal actually. I've settled down into my new class and have become accustomed to the later dismissal time. I've become a true IB student in ACS(I). Haha. CAS hours are coming in (well at least some). The workload too. But amidst all the hustle and bustle, I do find that there's still time for friendships and fun. A good example would be today when a group of us went to Clementi Shopping Centre to eat and talk. It was quite fun, and we had a great time. What I wish for is greater class unity among everyone, not just a select group. Oh well. The upcoming WOW trip is filling our minds with anticipation. What will it be like? What experiences will we have? What kind of service will we do there? Will we like the place? Will we rally together under one banner to achieve our tasks? But most of all will we have fun? The fundraising has gone not too bad, although we still have a long way to go in reaching our target of $3000. Right now we have only slightly more than a $100 if I remember correctly. That leaves us with less than 3 months to raise the rest. :O Looks kind of impossible. Lol. Term 2 will have more information and activities piling up on top of each other, so it's important for me to manage my time. I hope I can be able to (God be my strength). :) That's all! Friday, March 06, 2009 An updateIt's been the third week of lessons this year. Time has flown. Next week will be the last of term 1, and then we'll truly be into the academic year. I think some of us haven't really felt the significance of the months passing us by, but I think they soon will. Ha. I've been very busy this past 2 weeks, and very tired as well. Late days and tiring ones have become a norm for me over this period of time. Eye bags have grown more prominent. Dark circles too. I'm finding it a little hard to stay awake in school sometimes. Now I know why people fall asleep in lectures, because I'm starting to do so myself. :S Frisbee has a large part of my time and energy as well. I don't know whether I should join competitive, or still remain in recreational. Somehow I think that I should stay in the latter. I get the feeling that if I join competitive, I'll have no more time left. !nk is my other CCA. I've just had the first meeting today. We brainstormed ideas for the next issue and I indicated I would like to join writing. My class is quite nice. I'm looking forward to WOW in order to get to know them even more. But as of now I forsee a nice 2 years ahead. Cheers! Ok that's all I'll write here. :) |
