Saturday, July 29, 2006 Just another dayHow do I begin? Of course, by telling you it's 2 days since I posted an entry. But it doesn't seem so long now. Sometimes I jus wonder what am I writing posts, or even having a blog for. It seems sad, doesn't it, not to live for anything. "Meaningless!" like what Solomon said. But I'm glad that I can live for God, if nothing else is worth living for. I've made some progress in my work. My Individualised Study Option (ISO) is a tedious process which requires all my endurance to carry it through. My topic is interesting, however. It is "Why did Napoleon fail in his conquest of Russia?" I like history, but not studying history. There's a difference. I wonder why people don't see that sometimes. However, the thing that makes history boring to some people is the studying of the subject. The curriculum doesn't let students enjoy the true meaning of history, instead focusing on the aspects of source-based questions and exams. I really hope the government will reconsider the way history is taught in schools. Another piece of work is my chinese newspaper collage. I'm not a very artistic person and I don't know how to make a scrap book look nice, but I do know how to cut and paste stuff. Haha. Anyway, I have done 4 out of 10 of the required number of articles. The only problem with the collage is that I don't know Chinese well. So I'm obliged to check a dictionary for every article I comment on. That's a hassle. Hm. And the words are tiny. Double whammy. I love that phrase. Hehe. Well, so long everyone. I have run out of current. There is too much resistance in my brain. The ammeter measures a record low of 0.00000001A. Ha. Goodnight. |
